Development of Sociodrama Model for Drunk Driving Prevention: Preliminary research

|
The purpose of this study is to develop a sociodramatic model to prevent drunk driving. For model development, the model was constructed with the contents discussed by 30 related experts and ordinary people through literature research. In the preliminary experiment, sociodrama was conducted four times on 20 adult drivers, 50 middle and high school teenagers, and 30 college students. As a result of reviewing the participants' self-report and response to the process, it was found that sociodrama to prevent drunk driving was applicable to adolescents and adults, but in the case of juvenile delinquents, a treatment model is needed to solve individual psychosocial problems together. In addition, as a result of confirming whether sociodrama helped clarify the values of group members, it helped to re-recognize social value norms and morality, and to insight into responsibility and irrational attitudes as community members. The results obtained from the preliminary study will be provided as data for future model modifications and pre-post experiments. It is also hoped that it will help train habitual drunk drivers and follow-up studies to prevent dangerous driving behaviors such as drowsy driving.
